The very first thing ya need to do is create 2 layers , you can add more as needed.

just like in my last post, you need to place the image you want into a highlighted layer , preferably the bottom most layer.
The top layer will be the text layer, don't worry, what ever layer has the text , can be moved up.
Please make sure you are working on a blank layer, this helps keep things organized and it helps when ya need to make changes, you can also lock the unused layers, this helps make sure you don't fudge up any other art work or images.

Ok now on to using the text tool ..........


the text tool should be on the left side , it looks like a uppercase T.
Any text you type can be edited ,. thats one reason for putting it on a separate layer, You can chamge the color, size and placement of the text at any time.
Once you have everything the way you want it, it's a good idea to click save as and save your project as a .psd file.
This will allow you to come back later and make more changes.


One thing to consider when adding text is , what Is this project being used for , this will help decide color, size and placement.
if your using you project for tv ad, then you want big font and light text color, the placement should be dead center.
Color also depends on the image's colors or background, domt use dark text on a dark background and visa versa.

one last thing to consider isv tv sizes , you don't want your text cut off , so test your finished project on verious tv's, most common tv's are 4:3 and 16:19, if you cant see your text on a 4:3 tv or monitor , you will need to change the placement.
